Ohmite's new non-inductive, bulk ceramic resistors are designed for a variety of applications where high energy handling capabilities are crucial. Standard sizes are offered between 2.5 to 5.5 watts, with resistance values ranging from 1 ohm to 15,000 ohms in standard 10% tolerance (5% available on request). High joule ratings are characteristic starting at 400 joules for the 2.5 watt up to 2800 joules for the 5.5 watt size.

Designed for use in motor drives, UPS and other power conversion systems, these resistors are ideal for any application which requires high peak power, impulse energy, inrush current limiting, or non-inductive performance. With a predictable thermal response, the "A" Series simplifies design over other current limiting devices which exhibit non-linear responses to changes in ambient temperature and self-heating effects. Their unique design combined with the resistance material used allows uniform distribution of energy throughout their structure which results in low thermal stress. This increases reliability and minimizes package size.

The high temperature, solvent-resistant epoxy coating carries a UL94VO flammability rating which is suitable for almost any environment. Familiar radial lead terminations are provided for convenience of assembly. Convenient stock packages are available in small quantities of 5 pieces or less.
