Ohmite's new TAP1000 Series raise heat sinkable power options to 1000 watts. Our thick film technology and refined manufacturing processes combine to provide a thermally efficient package that delivers 1000 watts of continuous power @ 25°C case temperature when properly mounted to an adequate heat sink.

Designed for use with liquid cooling systems, the TAP1000 is constructed with durable, lightweight materials that yield a 3 sq. in. package 35% smaller than traditional technologies, while dissipating 3 times the power. The TAP1000 is capable of withstanding single impulses up to 104 joules, and exhibits very low inductance when fully charged.

Resistance values from 2.5 ohms to 50 ohms are available in tolerances of ±10% and ±20% (standard). Maximum operating voltage is 2000VDC, with dielectric strengths from 6KV to 12KV available. The TAP1000 has an operating temperature range from -55°C to +125°C.

The electrically isolated resistor element is protected by a rugged Valox case well suited for power control, power conversion, power distribution, and power conditioning applications.
