Ohmite's Enviromental, Health, and Safety Policy

Ohmite Hardware Plating Is Converting to Fully RoHS & REACH Compliant

Customers will begin to notice a difference in the color of Ohmite mounting hardware and all metal parts associated with Ohmite resistors, rheostats, and tap switches. Older, non-RoHS hardware has a familiar yellow/gold tint to the plating. New, RoHS Compliant hardware will have a blue tint. The photograph shown is representative of the color difference between old and new.

Chemical Cleaning Practices

Ohmite Manufacturing does not recommend the use of Alcohols, IPA, Acetones, Benzenes, Toluenes or other Keytone products for the use of cleaning power resistor components. The use of these chemicals on Ohmite products may remove the stamping and or coatings and may void any manufacturer warranties.

The Ohmite "E" part numbers

Ohmite has converted all part numbers to be RoHS compliant when possible. RoHS compliant parts contain an "E" subsequent to the part number.
